"Innovation in Science Pursuit for Inspired Research" (INSPIRE) is an innovative programme sponsored and managed by the Department of Science & Technology (DST) for attraction of talent to Science. The basic objective of INSPIRE is to communicate to the youth of the country the excitements of creative pursuit of science, attract talent to the study of science at an early age and thus build the required critical human resource pool for strengthening and expanding the Science & Technology system and R & D base.

The main aim of the INSPIRE camp at SASTRA DEEMED University is not just to give the students an experience of scientific pursuits, but also to kindle curiosity and motivate them to raise new questions and creatively imagine solutions to solve a few global issues. During the course of this camp, school students will interact with the brightest and eminent scientific minds from India and abroad, which would invigorate their passion towards the creative pursuit of science and develop their scientific and reasoning skills. With this view, the practical sessions have been designed in such a way that it will involve the students to the maximum possible extent.
