- Microarray analysis of animals administered with Candraprabha Vati has been performed for the first time
- Microarray data analysis has revealed several molecular targets that might be responsible for the therapeutic effects of CPV
- miR-434: may play a role in the anti-diabetic and anti-inflammatory activities of CPV
- MeOX1 and Upf3b: may contribute to the rejuvenative properties of CPV
- Osbpl7: may be involved in the therapeutic effect of CPV in hepatic disorders
- miR877: may have a role in CPV’s therapeutic effect against fibrosis and associated complications
- Hbaa2: may contribute to the anti-anemic effect of CPV
- miRlet7e: may play a role in the anti-inflammatory property of CPV
- Microarray data also revealed a gender-specific regulation of the genes with the female animals showing a marked alteration in Rab3d gene that may have a role in anti-carcinogenic property of CPV when compared male animals
