SASTRA Law School Team Wins Prestigious 9th K.R. Ramamani Memorial National Taxation Moot Court Competition
SASTRA Law School team comprising of Chi. Chandrashekara Bharathi, Chi. Abhishek P and Kum. Nivedha Mohan from 5th Year B.A.L.L.B. (Hons.) has won the 9th K.R. Ramamani Memorial National Taxation Moot Court Competition 2019 organised by the TNDALU School of Excellence in association with S.A.P.R. Advocates from 8th to 10th February 2019.
In the Final, SASTRA Law School team overcame the challenge by Indian Law Society’s Law College, Pune and secured the victory. The Final was judged by Hon’ble Justice Shri Vineet Kothari, Hon’ble Justice Ms. P.T Asha, Hon’ble Justice Shri Subramonium Prasad, Additional Advocate General Shri P.H Aravindh Pandian and Former Commissioner of Income Tax Shri. Rajib Hota. Chi. Chandrashekara Bharathi secured the Best Speaker award and was awarded a cash prize of Rs. 5000. Kum. Nivedha Mohan secured the Best Researcher award and was awarded a cash prize of Rs. 5000. The team was awarded Rs. 50000 for winning the Moot Competition.

Kum. Varsha B of V year B.Com., LL.B. (Hons.) and Chi. Pragash B of V year B.B.A., LL. B. (Hons.) won the C.S. Sundaram Memorial Research Paper Competition 2019 which is conducted annually along with K. R. Ramamani Moot Court Competition. They won a cash prize of Rs. 20,000.
