IAS Summer Research Fellowship
Congratulations to all the 3rd year B.Tech. and 3rd/4th year 5-year Integrated M.Tech. students who have been offered Indian Academy of Sciences Fellowship to work in premier research labs. SASTRA University has once again dominated the Indian Academy of Sciences Fellowship list for the 2013 Summer Internship stretching SASTRA's record for the seventh consecutive time for maximum number of students being selected from a single institution.
We understand that your Internship will commence during the month of May and will extend beyond June 27, 2013 (day of reopening of classes). However, to encourage students to pursue such quality internship, we permit them to report to the University before the 1st CIA for the odd semester begins. You are advised to submit to Mr. M.Raja, Department of Training & Placement a copy of your IAS allotment letter along with your letter of request seeking permission to attend classes after June 27, 2013. These have to be submitted before May 7, 2013 without fail. Late submissions cannot be entertained under any circumstances.
