SASTRA Student Selected for Youth Exchange Programme

CDT N. Janani, a final year B. Tech. student of SASTRA University, Thanjavur, has been selected to participate in the Youth Exchange Programme, organized by the National Cadet Corps (NCC), from 4^th December to 13^th December 2011 at Singapore.   The Youth Exchange Programme is an annual event involving 10 countries viz. Singapore, Vietnam, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Nepal, Bhutan, Maldives, Russia, Kazhakhastan and India.  CDT N. Janani has been selected as one amongst 10 students from India to participate in this programme and the only one from Tamil Nadu.  She has been selected to be a member of Tamil Nadu, Puducherry & Andaman Nicobar NCC Directorate contingent, participating in the National level Republic Day camp competitions conducted at New Delhi, from December 30, 2010 to 31^st January 2011.  During the programme at Singapore, she will be making a presentation covering India’s historical and cultural background.
