Law Student Bags the Best Student Advocate Prize in Moot Court

A team of three students from the School of Law comprising Chinmayi R. Krishnan, Nithya Sharma and Kum. V. Vaishnavi participated in the All India Refugee Law Moot Court Competition conducted from 29-31 October, 2010, jointly organized by the Department of Legal Studies, University of Madras & United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees. Nithya Sharma, III semester B.A. LL.B., was adjudged the Best Student Advocate in the moot court competition which discussed various issues pertaining to rights of refugees.  A total of 8 teams (comprising 3 members each) from all over India participated in the competition. SASTRA’s team went all the way up to the semi-finals.
